STAYC, also known as "Star To A Young Culture", is a six-member girl group hailing from High Up Entertainment, a subsidiary of Kakao Entertainment. This talented group was carefully curated and mentored by the renowned producer duo Black Eyed Pilseung, known for creating hit songs for several popular K-pop acts. After a meticulous 3-year search for the perfect blend of talents and personalities, STAYC was born. The journey of STAYC was not kept in the shadows, as the members, formerly known as the "HighUp Girls", were prominently featured in the YouTube Originals documentary "K-Pop Evolution". Their path to debut was documented in vlogs and covers shared on their YouTube channel, showcasing their dedication and hard work. In October, the group's name was revealed as STAYC, standing out among other potential names such as "Molar" and "Oriental Girls". Teasers for each member and the group were tantalizingly released, building anticipation for their debut. Finally, on November 12, 2020, STAYC made their grand entrance into the K-pop scene with their first single album "Star To A Young Culture". Their journey continued to soar as they released their first studio album "Metamorphic" on July 1, 2024, solidifying their place as a rising force in the K-pop industry.
