The group was originally a five-member formation including Hero Jaejoong, Max Changmin, Micky Yoochun, U-Know/Yunho, and Xiah Junsu before debuting in 2003. Their impressive debut on December 26, 2003 showcased their talents with performances of "Hug" and "O Holy Night" on a SBS BoA and Britney Spears special. The group went on to release their first single "Hug" on January 14, 2004. Despite some members leaving the group in 2010, the remaining members continued to create music and entertain fans worldwide.
