NRG, short for New Radiancy Group, is a well-known South Korean pop music band that debuted in 1997 with members Chun Myung-hoon, Lee Sung-jin, Noh Yoo-min, Moon Sung-hoon, and the late Kim Hwan-sung. They experienced periods of activity and hiatus before reuniting as a trio in 2017 to mark their 20th anniversary. Originally debuting as a duo called HamoHamo, Lee Sung-jin and Chun Myung-hoon found success with the singles "Papillion" and "Pangpang". Moon Sung-hoon and Noh Yoo-min started as backup dancers before joining the group. Renowned music producer Kim Tae-hyung saw potential in them and formed the group, inspired by the success of H.O.T. With the addition of Kim Hwan-sung, who had previous experience in other groups, NRG solidified their lineup and continued to make a mark in the K-pop scene.
