Monsta X is a dynamic six-member K-pop group managed by Starship Entertainment. They came together through the exciting survival show "NO.MERCY" on Mnet Channel, where seven talented individuals were handpicked to debut: Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M. The group officially debuted on May 14, 2015, with their first mini-album "Trespass". Their name, Monsta X, actually represents "Mon Sta", meaning "my star" in French, with the X symbolizing endless possibilities. Fans, known as Monbebe, have been captivated by the group's music and performances, propelling Monsta X to debut in Japan under Mercury Records Tokyo. Their Japanese single "Hero" became a massive hit, showcasing their international appeal. The group even had the honor of participating in the Olympic torch relay for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. In a heartfelt turn of events, member Wonho faced challenges, but through courage and perseverance, he embarked on a solo career with the support of Starship Entertainment. Monsta X continues to inspire fans worldwide with their music and dedication to their craft.
