DAY6, a dynamic South Korean rock band hailing from JYP Entertainment, burst onto the scene on September 7, 2015, with their electrifying EP "The Day". This debut release soared to No. 2 on Billboard's World Album Chart just a week after hitting the airwaves. What sets DAY6 apart is their hands-on approach to music-making, with all members actively involved in composing and producing their tracks. The band, comprised of Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon, delivers a genre-blending sound that has earned them a loyal following worldwide. Originally starting as a six-member ensemble, DAY6 underwent some changes over the years, bidding farewell to Junhyeok in 2016 and more recently, Jae in 2022. Despite these transformations, DAY6 continues to captivate audiences with their versatile discography. In 2017, the band embarked on the ambitious "Every DAY6" project, treating fans to two new songs every month. The result? A collection of 25 diverse tracks ranging from hard-hitting rock anthems to heartfelt ballads and infectious sing-alongs. Not content to rest on their laurels, DAY6 embarked on new musical ventures, with the debut of their first subunit, DAY6 (Even of Day), on August 31, 2020. Comprised of members Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon, this subunit wasted no time wowing fans with their mini album "The Book of Us: Gluon - Nothing Can Tear Us Apart". Whether as a full band or in subunit form, DAY6 continues to push the boundaries of K-pop music, earning critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base along the way.
